ELATED!

Our word of the week is ELATED. Students guessed what the word elated meant, and created something to show their initial thinking. After sharing our ideas students learned the meaning of elated is: being very happy or proud, or in high spirits. Students then did some writing answering the prompt - If you woke up invisible would you be elated? Why or why not? What would you do?

Refining our Photography skills

We spent some time analyzing our photographs from last week in regards to the rule of thirds, subject position, foreground and background. Next time we will explore close up photography and black and white photography.

 
 

Place Value Exploration

In order to solidify their understanding of place value, students have been working on developing their own number systems. They will be ready to challenge you when you come to conferences!
