Book
Orders
Book orders are due by this Tuesday,
December 4, 2018. Orders can be through the flyer or you can visit the website
atwww.scholastic.ca/canadaclubs. If it is a gift, please email Mr. Lawson, ajlawson@cbe.ab.ca,
and tell him what you'd like him to do (ie. wrap, leave at office ). Also, make
sure that if you order online that it is under Mr. Lawson's name.
One World Drumming:
Our drumming residency started today and the sounds of drums have filled the hallways. Our students will be learning songs to share with you on the morning of December 14th in a similar fashion to our performances from Sound Kreations. The schedule with specific times is being confirmed with our instructor today and will be available tomorrow.
Sports Club
Sports
Club is beginning this week, Wednesday, December 5. It runs every
Wednesday and Thursday after Lunch, starting at 11:45 a.m. The club will
meet in the Thunder Dome.
Interested
Grade Three and Four students must complete the electronic form and submit it
by Tuesday, December 4.
There is
a limit of 40 participants. If more than 40 students apply, a random draw
will be held to determine the participants.
Activities
will include Soccer, Basketball, Polish Handball, and Badminton.

GREY CUP
The Grey Cup
visited our classroom today. It was brought to us by Mark Kilam, Special Teams
coach of the Calgary Stampeders.
Plot and Theme
Students
continued to work on identifying the difference between the plot and theme. We
read Lily and the Paper Man. They were able to see that when we talk about plot
we are talking about what happens in the story and that a theme is the big idea
about it.
Fine Arts
In Art today
students had the opportunity to focus on lines in both photograph and in
drawing. Check some of their drawings below.
