Updates:
- We will be going on a field trip on February 21st to Studio Bell! Field trip forms will be coming home soon and a sign up genius will go out to all cleared volunteers. We will be looking for 5 volunteers for each class.
- February 21st is also a FUN LUNCH day - seeing as we will be out of the building for the entire day you may want to cancel your child's fun lunch order for this day. Another option is to have your child pick it up when we get back to bring home after school
- Our annual Winter Sports Day is coming up. We are having it on the Global School Play Day, February 6, 2019. We would love to have you join us as a volunteer. The time commitment will be from 11:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. See below for a link to sign up. Thank you.
Read to Someone
This has to be one of the students' favourite reading activities! They love to share a story with a friend and students are learning to become encouraging reading coaches for one another.
Time for Times Tables
Students have been learning what multiplication means and can express their understanding using equal groupings, arrays, words, skip counting, repeated addition and now using the algorithm. What patterns do you notice?
