Monday February 4th

Let's hope Balzac Billy is right about his prediction!

BLUE DAY at EHS
Temperatures were very cold today so we spent all day inside. We apologize for the lack of exercise and outdoor time your child received today :) We were able to push them hard in P.E. and during our indoor body break in class.

Math
We are working hard on understanding and learning our basic facts for multiplication. The grade 4 curriculum states that by the end of grade 4 student should know their basic multiplication facts up to the 9 times table. For grade 3 it's up to the 5 times table.

Word of the Day
It sure is FRIGID out today. Can you guess what our word of the day was today? You're right if you said frigid. Students had to write whether or not they liked the frigid weather and what they like to do when it is frigid outside.

Group Reading
Students enjoyed some reading today in group reading.

Inquiry
Rocks are cool and students had the chance to explore the different rocks from our kit. They were looking for carbonates using vinegar. The class smelt very vinegary after this experiment.

Winter Sports Day - Wednesday
Our annual Winter Sports Day is coming up.  We are having it on the Global School Play Day, February 6, 2019.  We would love to have you join us as a volunteer.  The time commitment will be from 11:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  See below for a link to sign up.  Thank you.
