Collect Facts...

Please collect some facts about the country that you are studying. The students will bring home a sheet of different aspects or characteristics they might research about. Our job over the next days is to collect as many facts about our country that we can by doing research from the following link or any other sites. Students are strongly encouraged to talk with their parents to help them research.
This is a very good site that is accessible from Learn Alberta.

OUR THIRD ANNUAL GLAZED 8 DONUT RACE WILL TAKE PLACE SUNDAY,
JUNE 2, 2019!

The Glazed 8 is a race of varying lengths for kids, adults, families, and friends that combine two of the best activities around: running & eating donuts. And, the bonus of the event is that all money raised goes towards our community - specifically, Eric Harvie Elementary School and new this year, Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation. We are in the third year of the event, have donated close to $4000 and eaten nearly 500 donuts and 2500 Timbits!

Please check out our Instagram and link to our Eventbrite page for more information.

HIGHLIGHTS
We had a large amount of students who began their research last night. We had them share with others what they have learned so far. Those who said they were "finished" were challenged to go deeper into getting to know their country.

With our research we will be using it for our student lead learning walk. Students were brainstorming the various ways to present their learning of their country. We looked at Global Grover and how he, a puppet, was able to share information he learned about a country.
