Highlights of our day...
In math 2 of the groups of students continued to show their understanding of multi-digit multiplication. The other group worked on differences using a 100 grid (https://thinking101canada.wordpress.com/).
Our book club groups are rolling along with getting better and better at reading. Soon 2 of the groups will be breaking into smaller groups to spend time on a book of choice practicing their reading skills.
The grade fours are continuing their exploration of French. Right now they are focusing on words for their different family members.
Our inquiry today was a case study on children from around the world. Students read about individuals and were given the task to determine the quality of life they lived. One would assume that doing this at the end of the day would be quite challenging for focusing, but the peace pod dug deep and were able to stay on task and produce some quality conversations about these different kids.
