Veteran's Food Bank Collections
In support of our veterans, we are collecting non-perishable
food items for the Veterans’ Food Bank. We welcome donations from
students and those attending our ceremony on Friday. Collection boxes
will be located in the Hub.
Goal Setting...
How can we improve our understanding of what we read? We continued with goal setting in the IRIS database. We are working to create a reading sample to share.
The Structure of a Story...
In
writing students moved on from their beginnings and looked at elaborative
detail. We introduced the setting and
characters using the 5 senses. Students were challenged with slowing down their
story (problem) and allowing the reader to get to know their characters and
where their story is taking place.
